A’ll do an amazing job instructing us parents that feel ill-equipped at times. Grateful for your time and your wisdom and your passion. Thank you for sharing everything that you do.
As a parent of four mouths that bite me, I finally feel heard! This podcast tackles every relevant topic in my life with the perfect mix of humor and heart. It’s my go-to companion for the morning commute and my 'rage cleaning' sessions alike. I especially appreciate Dr. Ken’s insight into the evolution of parenting—bridging the gap between old-school methods and modern realities. Thank you for making me feel less alone in the chaos!
I began listening to this podcast along alongside my boyfriend, as we navigate challenges with his teenage daughter and dynamic in our home as we blend our family, he and I both grew up in the church and didn’t mind the Christian influence and spiritual influence on this podcast. Also the planned emancipation conversations practicality about money and boundaries & respect, yelling, parental temperament . This was all extremely helpful to us. However, as we went deeper into the podcast, we realized that they are Really conservative when it comes to tattoos piercings, sexuality etc., on one of the episodes this psychologist states.“We believe your body belongs to your future husband” when talking about tattoos and piercings with a teenage girl. These are a lot of the damaging things that I have personally had to shed in my beliefs to maintain any sort of faith in my life. I believe that they would likely consider me extremely “woke” this podcast as a whole is not for modern Day Christians that don’t abide by old school 90s fundamentalism. This show is very much take what you need and leave the rest just a fair warning.
