Thank you Dr. Streicher. I started hormone therapy because I learned about it from your podcasts . I am 55. My gynecologist never discussed it with me. And what I knew about it was little and incorrect . I feel now so much more normal. It is really life changing.

This podcast offers good information to women. I’ve found it helpful over the past couple of years . I however was not happy with the disparaging example of the obese “250 pound woman who can’t give up her five packs a day” comment in the recent episode on perimenopause with Dr Goldstein. You fell into the typical medical unconscious bias of portraying overweight and obese people as “non compliant,” “lazy” or”bad”- why couldn’t you have just offered some general advice on treating perimenopausal overweight or obese women without the negative connotations along with the descriptions. I’m an overweight woman working hard a weight loss, healt and exercise during perimenopause and I found your comment a bit offensive and hurtful as I thought you were more prone to facts and less prone to unconscious bias- spin. I’m still a fan yet it would be helpful if you offered facts on menopause in overweight people without comments that suggest laziness or other disrespectful comments about their character.
