Thank you Dr. Streicher. I started hormone therapy because I learned about it from your podcasts . I am 55. My gynecologist never discussed it with me. And what I knew about it was little and incorrect . I feel now so much more normal. It is really life changing.
This podcast offers good information to women. I’ve found it helpful over the past couple of years . I however was not happy with the disparaging example of the obese “250 pound woman who can’t give up her five packs a day” comment in the recent episode on perimenopause with Dr Goldstein. You fell into the typical medical unconscious bias of portraying overweight and obese people as “non compliant,” “lazy” or”bad”- why couldn’t you have just offered some general advice on treating perimenopausal overweight or obese women without the negative connotations along with the descriptions. I’m an overweight woman working hard a weight loss, healt and exercise during perimenopause and I found your comment a bit offensive and hurtful as I thought you were more prone to facts and less prone to unconscious bias- spin. I’m still a fan yet it would be helpful if you offered facts on menopause in overweight people without comments that suggest laziness or other disrespectful comments about their character.
Great podcast! So informative. I wish have discovered it sooner. Factual and to the point and at the same time entertaining and engaging! Love it!
I appreciate the information Dr. Streicher provides and love the history she delves into with hormones. I also really like the Q & A episodes and learn something new from those as well! Thank you!
