CHGO Cubs is an amazing crew who provide a lot of different insight on the team while keeping the show fun. The entire team shares a ton of knowledge and certainly the best podcast around!
These guys are a must listen for Cubs fans. Luke is passionate and wise (old) like me. Cody brings the vibes, Del-metrics and tips back a cold one for all of us. Corey gives A+ recaps and says what we’re all thinking. Brendan has a PhD in baseball physics and should be on Jed’s payroll. Their postgame show is like pulling up a barstool with friends.
These guys do tremendous work and are a must-listen/watch for Cubs fans. Daily content and fun, informative analysis. Five stars.
Corey & Brendon are the best Cubs podcasters. Extremely informative with a lot of structure to their episodes. They have been one of my favorite parts of baseball season since I started listening to them when they first started the Cubs related podcast. CHGO and the additional hosts lack any structure to their episodes and spend less time actually analyzing baseball and talk more about things that are baseball adjacent like having beer bats at Wrigley or completely unrelated to baseball like Cody’s shoes and gambling habits. They often take over 20 minutes of the podcast before even getting to baseball. Even worse is since the takeover of CHGO Corey and Brendan have been reduced to only once a week analysis of the Cubs instead of after every series. They remain the only reason I remain subscribed to this podcast and I have started seeking out other Cubs podcasts to fill the void (have been enjoying “Onto Waveland”). I wish there was a CHGO Cubs Related podcast for just Corey & Brendon to keep doing what they had been doing.
I really love listening to Cubs talk, especially over the winter. Thought I’d try this one. In the first one minute, one of the hosts (Cody?) said, and I’m paraphrasing, but it’s close: “Let’s savor the two months before the baseball season. I promise you, savor this time because the cubs will drain you.” That really was a horrible way to be introduced to a ‘Cubs loving’ Cub’s podcast. Yes, the Cubs will frustrate us. Fine. But we’re here because we love them, not hate them. Cody is jaded. His audience isn’t. I mean, if we seek him out, we’re not looking to be away from the Cubs, right? I know there are podcasts where the people actually aren’t so negative. I’ll look for those.
This should be a good podcast; Brendan and Corey are awesome. Luke is a good host. Ryan is a nice addition. But my god, Cody is the worst podcast co-host I have ever heard. He just talks in circles saying absolutely nothing. A meatball fan they pulled out of the bleachers just shouting nonsense. I’ll listen to episodes if Cody isn’t on the show but otherwise it’s a hard pass.
