The best Red Sox podcast out there. Two veteran beat guys who call out bad when it’s bad, hold management’s feet to the fire, and have a pulse for the Sox clubhouse. Essential listen.

As a Red Sox fan, I love listening to as many opinions as possible about the Red Sox, and Chris and Sean do a good job. The only thing I would say is they’re kind of negative about the Red Sox, which I can understand, but still the Red Sox should be good this year and I think they should talk more on that. Otherwise, these guys are great, and it’s a fun multi weekly listen.

Chris Cotillo already did a great job and now with the addition of Sean McAdam, this is the best baseball podcast going. Chris and Sean actually know what they're talking about! All the other baseball podcasts are too long, too self indulgent or too opinionated, without any insight to back it up.

McAdam and Cotillo are both knowledgeable and skilled writers and reporters, but both present a rather negative and pedantic demeanor for podcasting. This, mixed with noticeably poor production, keeps this podcast from really standing out from the rest of the sludge of sports podcasts out there.

Chris was out for the last episode so it was Sean and Lauren Campbell. I was interested to hear Lauren’s thoughts but the whole episode was Lauren reading listener questions and Sean answering them. I was disappointed and pretty surprised that Lauren, who writes about the Red Sox for MassLive, didn’t get to express any opinions. I sure hope that was because she didn’t want to, and not because she wasn’t given a chance.
