Fantastic banter from father, son and astute guests. Great work, fellas. As for some new rules…it’s time to change the most cowardly act in all of sports, the Intentional Walk. Keep it, but award two-bases, runners advance the same. No more “Fraidy-Cat” pitching around runners on 2nd and third. Also, bring back the defensive shift. Sorry purists, it ain’t the 1950’s anymore, but as those old-timers would say, “Hit it where they ain’t.” Pitch count, Love It. Just like your podcast.

Forget the heartwarming nature of a father / son podcast part (actually don’t forget that - it’s very heartwarming and special), Tim K. loves baseball and all of its minutiae perhaps more than anyone that I have read or listened to ever. His son is the perfect foil bringing his own appreciation of the game to the show but also the ability to tweak his dad from time to time for his nerdiness. All in all, it’s the best baseball podcast going today as it teaches a lot about the history the game while explaining the latest technology and other changes associated with today’s game. Tim and Jeff accomplish all of this in a friendly, positive manner which is without fail, a joy to listen to.

I absolutely love listening to this show 3 times a week. Tim and Jeff genuinely enjoy podcasting together and it's such an honest real listen. Tim's recall for baseball statistics is ridiculous. His baseball knowledge is off the charts and I really enjoy hearing all of the stories he tells about covering baseball for the past several decades.

Leaving this review hurts me because I LOVE Tim Kurkjian. I think he’s one of the most knowledgeable baseball analysts ever. He’s one of my favorite guests on the Tony Kornheiser podcast and that is what I’d hoped we would get from Tim’s own podcast. It is amazing how little baseball insights we get from a supposedly baseball themed podcast. The interviews are good. The stories are usually good. But, there is WAY too much time spent on “Here’s my all time list of players whose last name starts with a vowel” nonsense. Who cares about that stuff? Season previews, what players on new teams should make an impact, strike news, what teams look hot or not going into the season, thoughts about the automated strike zone, etc… is what I want to hear about. His all time list of players whose name is a fruit or vegetable is not. I’m not bailing on it yet, especially since we’re going into a new MLB season. But, if I don’t start hearing about some baseball on this baseball podcast, I’m out.
