Thoughtful, balanced and well-resourced information. One of my new “must-listen” podcasts. Suggestion: fix the obnoxious echo on host Gregg Nunziata’s feed.
This podcast has only one purpose: to criticize Trump. And while there is much to criticize about Trump, this podcast loses credibility by pretending Trump is the first, worst, and only threat to our democracy. For example, Trump is accused of undermining the independent judiciary, when in fact he has so far complied with court rulings—even rulings against his beloved tariffs. Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is explicitly calling for court packing and spurring violence against the Justices, but that is not mentioned here. Trump is appropriately taken to task for attempting to overturn the 2020 election, but no mention is made of the Democrats’ false claim that the 2016 election was rigged. And so on… If you want to hear Trump taken to task, this podcast is one of hundreds that will scratch that itch. If you want to hear a balanced discussion covering the full context of our political situation, look elsewhere.
