Imagine listening to a bunch of your friends talk about guitar with all of the normal off-topic wandering and goofing off you’d expect. That’s Chasing Tone in a nutshell. It never feels like you’re listening to a corporate review or a highly paced and sketched out show. It’s just an hour a week of a few guys talking about gear and whatever comes to mind. Great way to pass the time and nerd out, with a few good laughs guaranteed.

This podcast has to be one of the BEST and most informative music based podcasts out. Yes, Travis “MAY” have “SQUIRREL!!!” moments at times, but it adds to the show. For a sound geek like myself. These three are the type of guys you’d like to sit down with a beer and exchange stories.

I love Chasing Tone! Very witty and fun guitar/pedal talk podcast along with standard state of the music industry and funny quips to along. You won’t be disappointed with a listen.
NOTE: I’ve seen some negative reviews because there isn’t a whole lot of teaching going on. This is not a tutorial on getting better Tone. If you want to learn how to mic an amp go to a service like Skill Share. Listen here for guitar fun.

I love Wampler pedals! Brian has explained more about guitar tone to me via his YouTube channel than anyone and is down to earth and extremely funny! This show is a must and I recommend it highly! Richard and Blake are great co conspirators! Thanks to the show I know that Jake is awesome thank you Jake, Brian, Richard, Blake, and all the guests and community that makes Wampler a great place to visit online!

This podcast and its hosts are very entertaining, but it being touted as a music oriented podcast is pretty misleading. I tuned in because I wanted a pedals and gear related podcast, and what I got was about 10% that. The rest of the podcast is spent talking about AI constantly, complaining about Elon Musk, talking about social media (which I listen to podcasts to get a break from!), or talking about some other random thing that’s totally unrelated to music in any sense.
Hopefully I return to this podcast and find it to be more on topic in the future, ‘Cause I really love Brian, Blake, and Richard’s personalities. I feel like, with just a bit more focus, they could really have a 5-star podcast.

I subscribed to this channel hoping to learn about guitar tones. Maybe get a review of pedals, amps or guitars. These guys ramble about nonsense so much that you’re lucky if a 50 minute podcast has 10 minutes in it about guitars. It’s also annoying when they talk over each other. Maybe have two guys rambling on and interrupting each other rather than three. After trying to get through three episodes, I’m moving on.
