This is an excellent honest look at John Brown. I am no newcomer here. I learned and understood John Brown starting with reading Thoreau’s defense of John Brown. Thoreau was one of the few Americans who saw the significance of Brown’s campaign to end slavery. As violent and determined a movement, it seemed to Thoreau the only way to stop a violent institution like slavery. Today, we look at John Brown through historically educated eyes. We should challenge ourselves to do this today to see who are today’s John Browns.

She is an amazing person and a personal hero of mine.
