I honestly did not realize it was an A.I. voice. While a big part of me wishes it was prayed with a human voice, I did not find the voice distracting while I prayed. The voice was programmed to be calm and pleasant and not rushed, all of which I appreciated. I am just so happy that I have been helped with praying the Rosary. There are Ads at the beginning so I take off my earbuds for that time. I did not realize there were ads at the end as I anticipated there might be and therefore take out my earbuds. The initial ads have been loud, and that is unfortunate. BUT, I still am so grateful for this podcast. Thank you!
The new female voice sounds robotic and is not as nice to listen to as the previous male voice. Also, she’s saying the “oh my Jesus” prayer after every single “glory be“. It should only be said after each decade. A small gripe, but it bothers me so I’m mentioning it. I can still listen to the voice I want to with the shorter prayer, so I kept four stars for that.
I started listening to this podcast when I was coming home to the Catholic Faith in 2023 after a 12yr stint of being Protestant. I wanted to pray the rosary but couldn’t quite remember all the words and a few of the prayers. I would listen and pray alongside this podcast every day on my commute. It helped me form a devotion to Mother Mary, and helped my kids learn the prayers too! Now I will listen anytime I’m not “motivated” to pray, and it helps me with the hardest part… getting started. So often, I think about how Mary will be with us in our final hours because we have prayed “… now and at the hour of our death” o many, many times. But how many Hail Marys will this podcaster be responsible for in the hour of his death? Millions, probably! So many blessings and signal graces have been bestowed upon us because of this podcast.
It helps me say the rosary daily. It helps keep my adhd mind from wandering while praying. I don’t mind the commercials, since it’s free. Maybe those who fuss about them may like to be subscribers & pay for commercial free ones, just an idea.
Final Update: How many ads do you need?? I’m hit with 1 sponsorship and 2 ads at the beginning and at least 1 ad at the end. (Roughly 3 minutes of ads!) This is more than excessive! I was willing to tolerate one ad. Now, I won’t listen at all. I’ve already switched to a different daily rosary and am finally deleting this show from my podcasts. First Update: I noticed changes have been made since I last reviewed, and I’m happy to say I’m keeping this as my go-to daily rosary. There are still commercial ads, but there’s not a whisper rosary in sight. Thank you for listening to feedback and thank you for your dedication! Original Review: I’ve been listening daily for about 8 months. The recording is well done (though I suspect the speed is slowed down a bit. It’s a little too slow.) In the past month or so, commercials were added to the beginning and/or end which really ruins the feeling of reverence. Then, about a week ago, these whisper rosaries were added that are intended to be relaxing, but it honestly raises my adrenaline and gives me anxiety. The regular spoken rosary is still available, but God forbid I accidentally click the whisper rosary! It really was the best rosary option a year ago, but I’m not so sure anymore.
I’ve been following along with this rosary podcast every morning for the last five years or more. But recently you switched to this AI generated female narrator. It is too fake. It is so obvious that it is AI and I think it would be a good idea to switch back to a human being. I’ve recently started listening to the Hollow app instead because is not fake. I will continue to check in to see if you’ve changed it back but until then I will do my rosary with a human being somewhere else. Thank you, God bless.
