I have listened to every episode on this podcast and I can appreciate the work and research that Brandi puts into every episode. One thing I’ve noted with the Lindsay Clancy case, she is not including any speculation the public and social media has of the husband. I understand she’s presenting facts and everything happening inside the courtroom, but it just seems one sided to not include at least a snippet or acknowledging that some of Patrick’s story does not add up.

I started out really liking the show as the premise: hearing criminal cases from both sides, and leaving it to the listener to come up with their on opinion, and it worked that way at first. But then the bias started to creep in. It started with a shift to the formulaic “Audiochuck” style story telling, and then the editorializing kicked into gear. Now, the bias is so blatant that it’s actually very hard to listen to. If you like that kind of podcasting you are in the right place. But if you are looking for information to make up your own mind the new Crime House Chanel will be at better fit.

I started listening because of the outstanding reporting on the Karen read case. I stopped subscribing to crime junkie many years ago because it is the same script and narration all the time. This felt different. Now it feels shallow, overproduced and just another crime junkie lookalike. Bummer. No new cases. No one wants to rehash cases that have been covered a zillion times. We want new cases, current cases, and Brandy’s research back. It seems to be this way with so many podcasts who get bought out.
