Young Farmers Podcast

by National Young Farmers Coalition

The Young Farmers Podcast, a project of the National Young Farmers Coalition, is digging into the most critical issues facing the future of farming: land access, climate change, racial equity, water for the next generation, government access and accountability. This season, you’ll hear from policy makers, experts and advocates, and, of course, young farmers themselves, all fighting to make sure that the next Farm Bill does what we need it to do: supports the future of farming in the U.S. Listen in and find out how YOU can join the young farmer movement.

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I’m loving this podcast. I’m a young farmer in Indiana, and this podcast makes me feel connected to what’s happening nationally. Can’t wait for more episodes.

NightfallFarm · Nov 2019

I became interested in farming and policy through my climate activism and this podcast has been SO amazing to listen to while I'm trying to understand what the agricultural community is going through and the type of policies we need to be shaping. I have no relationship to rural America and this podcast has made me feel so connected to these communities. Those of us who live in urban areas should be much more involved in how our food is produced. We all eat! Thank you for what you do—I hope this podcast contiues!!

Cchi88 · Nov 2019

I am a college student considering a career in agronomy/soil science. I love this podcast's treatment of issues in food and agriculture: it's very 'human,' presented in everyday language, and I think fundamentally optimistic, even in its coverage of very difficult topics. We need more media like this!

Walker Orr · Jun 2019

I’m not a farmer and started listening to this podcast simply because I’m interested in the topic. I find the topics covered to be SUPER informative and well reported on. I look forward to each new episode coming out! If you’re interested in learning more about farming today, I highhhly recommend this podcast.
