Amy does such an amazing job with this podcast. There are so many podcasts about the crimes, but very few about the survivors and their lives after the fact.
These women are so brave and so strong. This is the type of podcast that can inspire hope and help for those who are being abused.
I’ve fallen off of “Something Was Wrong” lately, as the host’s season was a ton of rambling, but this one is structured so beautifully and the stories are told with such meaning and compassion. So well done!

I started listening to What Came Next when it was first released just a year or two ago (I heard about it through the SWW podcast). Not only has this podcast given me so much insight & perspective, but I now have an incredible amount of respect and appreciation for these victims & survivors who are brave enough to share their stories in an effort to help others, educate the public, lift each other up, and band together to make this world a better place. I grew up in a pretty traditional Christian, conservative household with right wing republican views and opinions. However, now that I’m in my mid-late 30’s with a life & family of my own I’ve made an intentional effort to expand my horizons, listen & learn about opinions & experiences very different from my own. Through this process I’ve come to realize that life is not as black and white as I thought, and many of the social & political issues we face are not simple & straight forward. The What Came Next & SWW podcasts have played a big role in this shift in my perspective and I’m no longer quick to make assumptions or judgements based on very little information. True crime has been a big interest of mine for the past few years & I'm so glad I stumbled across these podcasts when I first started exploring all of my true crime podcast options!! Amy you are incredible and you’ve made a difference in the lives of so many people, not to mention being vulnerable in sharing your own story. Thank you for giving survivors a platform to share their stories and what came next for them, what you’ve created is a remarkable community of people and the impact is worldwide. Keep up the amazing work!!!!

SWW is one of my favorite podcasts so I really want to like what came next. The stories are hard to follow and I find myself often confused with who is talking and what is the story. Would be helpful if a little background is given at the top of the episode. I don’t get as invested in the story because I feel lost. I really like the concept so hoping you can tweak some things and improve the story telling. Thanks for being willing to air these important stories!

Something Was Wrong is my all time favorite podcast - I have listened to every single episode. I love that What Came Next is continuing the stories, however, the episodes without context to the original story makes it difficult to catch on. More often than not, I have no clue what the person is referencing/what their original story is so I just move to the next podcast. It would be great to have a quick summary of the original story so I can binge this podcast like I did SWW.

It's so irritating to hear the host constantly interrupt the guests. She doesn't offer anything substantive with her annoying interruptions. She tries to sound like a fake psychologist or therapist. Tiffany would rarely interrupt get guests and when she did, she offered substantive statements / thoughts.

Show started out okay when it was a follow-up on survivors who had their stories covered (unethically) by media (docuseries, podcasts, etc) but has continued to fall off as it becomes a platform exclusively for those hoping to finesse their traumatic experiences into fame or financial gain (literally every guest is on here to either promote a book, their TikTok, or their own podcast. Literally every. single. one!) Also somehow manages to include too much detail while also none at all, with usually the back half of each episode being 15 minutes of filler platitudes: “Everybody heals different.” “Sharing is healing.” “Be kind to yourself.”
I’ll give points for trying to be an “ethical’ true crime pod but overall is just directionless and boring
