Really enjoyed hearing about the genesis of this statue, and about the linkages with the Simon Bolivar monument (a connection that was new to me, as one who works on the history of monuments, including the Bolivar, I so appreciated the source links). I just found this podcast and can’t stop listening. The production quality, music, and host’s voice make for delightful easy listening. The topic of each episode varies in nature but all are thoughtfully and intelligently told to the listener. What a wonderful way to share some of the weirder history of Rhode Island!

So interesting & well done! As a Rhode Islander who moved out of state, I thoroughly enjoyed these unique stories, the level of research & detail are what made me binge all the episodes 🙂

I love everything about this show: topic choices, voice of Podcaster, links for further information to name a few. In Massachusetts but born in Rhode Island and growing up just over the border I know quite a bit about the smallest state, but hearing about it by someone who came and stayed is fascinating. I recommend this show to anyone not just for the information but the lovely way the host delivers. More, please.
