by Deanna Yates | Professional Organizer, Decluttering Coach, Wannabe Minimalist
Ready to finally calm the overwhelm and create a home and life you actually enjoy? The Wannabe Clutter Free podcast is here to help you clear the clutter, simplify your routines, and find freedom in the life you’re building. I’m Deanna Yates, a busy mom who knows what it’s like to juggle family, career, and the never-ending piles of stuff. From selling 80% of what we owned to travel with our toddler, to managing the daily chaos of running a home with a school-aged kid, I’ve learned that living with less isn’t about deprivation. It’s about creating more space, more peace, and more joy. Each week, I share real-life stories, simple decluttering strategies, and mindset shifts that make it easier to let go of what’s weighing you down. You’ll also hear from inspiring guests who share practical tips and fresh perspectives on minimalism, home organization, intentional living, and building habits that last. If you’re tired of feeling buried in clutter and crave a home that feels calm, welcoming, and easy to manage, this show is for you. It’s not about perfection. It’s about progress, freedom, and finding space for what truly matters to you.

Deanna and her guests offer inspirational and practical advice to help us eliminate all of the unnecessary stuff in our lives! Actionable steps from which we may all benefit.
Finding the calm after the storm. I am finding the tips and/or the steps you provide to be so helpful. I am taking those steps that I can do slowly and I feel like it’s making a difference in decluttering (a never ending process) and feeling productive.
I stumbled onto Wannabe Clutter Free during a walk and instantly got hooked. First listen? The “Decluttering by Personality Type” episode — and wow, as a Type 3 who’s obsessed with efficiency, it was like she was speaking my language. Deanna has this way of making practical tips feel like warm encouragement from a friend, not a lecture. Also, her story about buying one owl and suddenly getting gifted every owl in the tri-state area? Hilarious. Been there — except mine was smiley faces (thanks, Mom). Now I’m working through her older episodes and even found one about budgeting that’s super close to what I teach. Love how she makes the “declutter” conversation about every area of life — not just closets and junk drawers.
I love this podcast. She gives great advice for women and moms who struggle with decluttering. I also love the guests that she has on the podcast. Definitely worth listening to!
The episode I listened to today was a complete rehash (complete with the phrase “clutter threshold”) of Dana K White. The woo-y ads are also a huge turnoff. Buying more stuff isn’t very minimalist. I’m sure the host is a fantastic person and nothing against her, but this clearly isn’t the podcast for me. I listened to several different episodes over the few months I’ve been subscribed, and found nothing new.
