What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This is my favorite podcast, and honestly the only podcast I listen to consistently. I have enjoyed it since my big kids were babies! I am actually heartbroken that it’s been sunsetted. While I do understand, I hope and pray that she will bring it back because it’s my favorite resource that Lisa provides! Love love love this podcast!

Homeschoolfamilyhere · Jun 2026

This is a wonderful podcast. My favorite episodes are the solo ones, actually. I enjoy the interviews but feel that Lisa could improve her interview skills: responses to interviewees other than “right, right, yeah…”, avoiding other filler words, and seeming more prepared. To me it seems like you can tell the ones she’s more excited to talk about than others by the way she interacts with her guests. I feel her personality really shines in the solo episodes!

MamawLiv · Feb 2026

I’ve been listening for years and relate so much to all the guests and topics Lisa discusses! Listening to this podcast has made me realize how much I value simple living and helped me focus what is pure and lovely (Philippians 4:8). We have not been blessed with children yet, but through Lisa’s stories and guests, I went from not really having an opinion on birth - to diving into the home birthing world and wanting a large family. This is definitely a life-giving podcast!

Mrs_Adams · Feb 2026

So refreshing to listen to motherhood and homemaking advice that is practical and “chill.” She is humble and honest but very truly the hardest working person I know of. I love all of Lisa’s stuff because it inspires me to work harder, serve my family and enjoy motherhood without making you feel guilty or like you aren’t doing it all correctly. There is so much noise out there that is the one podcast I choose to listen to and I am a better person because of it.

Omadi07 · Jan 2026

I am a faithful listener to this podcast, however I was really disheartened to listen to the most recent episode about homeschooling. It wasn’t educating listeners about homeschooling, but rather bashing public schools. Lisa and I have very different lifestyles, which is great. Even though I do not homestead or homeschool, I have always valued her story and her skills. This episode got me thinking that maybe I shouldn’t value her opinion quite so much.
