I love, love, love this podcast so much. I came across it about 2 years ago and now I anxiously wait for new seasons to drop. I will say that I struggled with the most recent episode about what felt like out-of-touch upper-middle class problems (the one about when it is the right time to buy a home), but I guess there are some listeners who can resonate with the struggles of having to pass on a million dollar home because it’s next to an affordable housing unit. I am very likely projecting as a response to the recent tech villainy in the US, but I do think it would have been a great moment to pose questions about how our personal financial goals can sometimes be complicit in the oppression of others. With that being said, I hold Reema in high esteem and respect the impulse to represent varying perspectives and lifestyles. I think she normally does such an excellent job asking these critical questions, which is why I wish I would have heard more of in the recent episode. Looking forward to the next episode!
I love the beautiful storytelling and examination of human life. I particularly love the blend of human story with finances.
Really thoughtful interviews and intimate stories about a topic most don’t talk about!
I look forward to every episode. I learn a lot about my own choices when I listen to someone else’s personal story on how they deal with finances. It gives me less anxiety to deal with a tough topic and be less judgy. Thank you!
I really did like this show in the first two seasons. However, after the second episode, of this season, where the host referred to the Oct 7th attacks as perpetrated by “Hamas Fighters” I can’t listen to it anymore without acknowledging the clear bias that the show has taken.
