I really appreciate how passionate David is about his work, and I genuinely enjoy hearing his perspectives. However, he does have a tendency to interrupt his guests, which can make it difficult to listen at times—especially when the guests have unique experiences and insights that would be valuable to hear more fully. It would be great to hear him listen more and allow those conversations to breathe. While it’s clear that many of these guests are people he deeply admires, he doesn’t need to constantly reinforce that.
This Podcast is a gift to anyone trying to change their behavior and become the best version of themself.
Love the amazing guests and insight. I would like less repeated insight from David, it feels like he keeps referencing the same three stories lately and the compulsion to speak over guests has been bothering me as well, knowing their caliber. I know David has a lot more to give so I’m excited for him to find an optimal balance!
The passion that David has for his work and craft is like no other. I have been listening to Founders for years and this new show where David interviews founders brings another level of insightfulness.
I was excited to hear the guests’ opinions/stories, but the host just constantly cut them off and inserted his own opinions and summaries. I’m sure the host is incredibly smart and knowledgeable about entrepreneurship but pls let the guests talk more. The host didn’t give the guest any opportunity to share their thoughts in DEPTH. For example, during the Dyson episode, Dyson was trying to explain how he created new products - he said there are two key ways and half way thru his talk before he gets to finish his first point, the host just started inserting his opinion and Dyson didn’t even get to finish his answer. It’s a pain to listen. What a shame.
David is an incredibly smart guy. I really enjoyed his episodes on Founders. But my goodness, these episodes come across as him really loving the sound of his own voice. David has been very successful, but the people he's interviewing are on another level. I'm tuning in to listen to THEM, not to David (that's what his other podcast is for). Moreover, David consistently interrupt his guests, and speaks 10x more than he should. David - I will come back in a few months and change this to 5 stars if you improve as an interviewer. But unfortunately, this podcast is hard to listen to as it currently stands.
