I loved the white vault and don’t mind cruxmont. However, with all the love in my heart - You need a true writer that can drive, feed and finish your stories. The endings just leave me, my friends and family that follow your shows super frustrated. All that work and time put into the sound quality, research, cast building etc etc and then the endings to white vault and sealskin rock just fizz out. You have to know how to finish a story. Leaving things just “up in the air” is sloppy writing, it takes a well rounded writer to pin that ending down (you can still have your mystery and punch and land that well rounded ending- sometimes even managing to introduce a delicious nugget of new information that opens the world you built in a new direction while still ending it) You make beautifully orchestrated sound and put so much care in your research - find a writer or even student writer that has that momentum and capacity to bring that story to the end it deserves! It will certainly pay off ❤️

It’s a slow build for sure. Every arc takes at least 2 seasons (10 episodes per season) before concluding. The slow horror of the first arc sets the tone surrounding the mystery of the White Vault for the rest of the show. That being said I was disappointed by the way the show ended. Not only because I’d totally love another season, but also the method of ending the story…is that really how it’s going to end?! All the other audio dramas I have, will, or am listening to, I keep comparing to this. I’m relatively new to audio dramas, this ranks in my top 2.

On what’s probably my 5th relisten of this podcast and figured I’d leave a review. In terms of narrative (non-anthology) horror podcasts that feel like true horror, the white vault is simply unmatched. I have never listened to a podcast that instilled such a deep sense of dread and unease as this one did. I can’t speak for the later seasons as I have adhd and cannot finish anything for the life of me but seasons 1-4 are fantastic. The tension is always high, whenever you think the situation can’t get any worse it does, and the main characters are completely defenseless in the face of their oncoming doom. 11/10 Deserves to be as hyped as the likes of Magnus Archives and Malevolent

I started this today. On season 2 now. But, the “Spanish” is really making me not want to keep listening. This is coming from someone that is Mexican and can speak both languages. It feels forced. The accent is way off, it sounds more Italian than Mexico City Spanish. I say that because one of the creators of this podcast was trying to go for that style of Spanish. It’s not even close. I get what they are going for but it really falls short. I like that they are trying to incorporate different languages into it but it just doesn’t flow. I am very interested in the world they are trying to build but the language stuff is just not doing it for me. Every time Rosa “tries” to speak Spanish and then follows it up with English makes me say, why? She can clearly speak great English. I don’t know. I’m going to try and finish it because I am interested in the story and the world but… we’ll see how far I can get.
