What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This show, and many other errs from Hillsdale, can’t get through a sentence without the constant overuse of the verbal tics, “Right?” and Ummm. Perhaps it flows from President Arndt. This has made many of the podcast shows unlistenable. These are supposed to be educated scholars, but they sound like unprepared high schoolers. It is insulting, lazy, and unprofessional. We expect more from Hillsdale. So, PLEASE set and demonstrate higher standards!

FrostyRucks · Feb 2026

Good information source, with guests and topics mainly of interest to conservatives. Most guests are politically or culturally important. They also bring a guest with strong liberal arts info, to cover a specific topic that you may have studied sometime but it is great to get a reminding review. Little or no chit chat here—I am uninterested in that. Instead, there is emphasis on presenting facts on the issues, then the guest’s opinions or predictions.

SharperEyes · Apr 2021

Each episode features four guests, usually profs as the college, speaking on four topics. It's a fantastic potpouri, and I always came away intellectually and emotionally refreshed. Great job, Hillsdale!

Keeping It Real NC · Aug 2019

Highly informative on subjects affecting our country. Heartily recommend listening to this podcast.
