Recently I haven’t had much interest in listening to The Minimal Mom episodes, because I feel like they’ve become more and more internal and self focused for motivation to live a simple life and live in a decluttered at home. But this episode was so refreshing because I was full of a lot of truth and statistics that I didn’t know as a Christian and as a person for children in America, but also motivates me to want to not spend my life managing inventory so that I can have time for other people and other peoples needs. I feel motivated to be a good steward of my life this pair down on my stuff. so I feel thankful for the episode being on here, and feel much more motivated to continue simplifying our life so that I can be ready and open for what God may have me do in the lives of others. Dawn, would love to see you return more to the foundations of Godly stewardship (even to a non Christian audience) of our lives and our stuff affects that.
My clutter was “killing me” not only that I couldn’t physically keep it all clean, but my “mind was exhausted” from thinking about it go. Listening to her guidelines for “inventory” and following Dana K White with A Slob Comes Clean No Mess Method, has resulted in me purging over 80% of our physical belongings in the last 19 months. Freedom doesn’t describe it fully.
I found Dawn on YouTube and continue to enjoy her content there and in podcast form. So much practical advice and subjects that aren’t being talked about in other minimalism spaces.
Not only does Dawn have great advice on simplifying the physical objects in the home but I get so much about simplifying my way of life, parenting/relationship advice, and decluttering my mind. It all comes in a positive and uplifting way as well. I listen when I feel worn out and just need an uplifting friend to hang with for a few minutes.
