This is my absolute favorite podcast. The stories are so interesting and very well narrated, I can visualize every detail. Each story is so unique, I expected every story to be similar, but that is not the case. I listen to this podcast any time I can! Love love love!

I was really disappointed when the original theme music was changed. The replacement didn’t have the same vibe and it really didn’t set the right tone. It wasn’t bad, no offense to anyone. The first week it was back, I thought maybe it was an accident. Sounds like it’s back long term though and I had to come say thank you!! The original one really has a more serious sound and it pairs better with the awesome narrator’s voice. That original intro and the narrator are what hooked me in the first place, years ago! The writing, production, everything is top tier! The ads are nobody’s fave but not everyone can pay to support the podcast and I’m just happy one of my favorites is still around, always on time and always riveting.

This 4 part series was amazing. It was so respectful of Andy and Jennifer as their stories were told, not to mention the many other sex worker victims. Please listen to this series if you can!

I am new here and have only listened through the Broken Connections episode. The writing and layout of the story was engaging and interesting, but the voice reading the script was really distracting. It really really sounded like an AI voice and felt super inappropriate for the story it was telling. I sounded like it was set to the tone of some smoky-baritone male reading with the cadence of a dateline reporter telling a salacious story. The variations and inflections were so regular and unwavering in pattern that it felt like a really formulaic attempt to fake us all out. I may try another episode, but won’t be able to stick with it if they don’t let a real person tell us the story.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for quite a while now and have always loved it— especially the quiet, creepy music that really gave it a unique atmosphere. Also love the narrator’s soothing voice. Unfortunately, recently, quite a bit of ads with jarring, loud music has been interspersed at various points throughout the podcast that is just awful. Completely changed the creep factor to just obnoxious. Please put the ads together in one place— preferably the beginning or end… UPDATE— just can’t deal with ALL. THE. ADS. Unsubscribed after being a loyal listener for over 5 years.
