Dead Sleep is first and foremost, pleasing to listen to, on a physical, auditory level. Nancy has a deep, just-enough-smoky, clear narration. But what really sets this podcast apart is its storytelling. Researched and delivered with dark humor, it hits all the right notes. If the crimes weren’t as told as thoughtfully and compellingly, it would be a gimmick. This is as close to podcast perfection as it gets.

Nancy’s voice is perfect for podcasts. Her speech is clear, soothing and well-paced. I am very particular about the voices I will listen to and I find hers at the top of my list!!

The stories are too interesting and too well told for me to fall asleep to, but I love listening when I’m awake! Really great structured storytelling and very well narrated.

Love the blend of mysteries, tame and not so. And the quiet, spacious, style even when awake, helps balance out the exhausting, noisy, efforts to generate over excited energy in the audience, that is so prevalent in entertainment content these days, even beyond the persistent beat of advertising.
