Hosted by Suzanne M. Swain, EdS, LMSW, the show draws on more than two decades of experience across education, adolescent development, mental health, school leadership, and higher education. Suzanne is a former award-winning middle school teacher, school librarian, K–12 administrator, college professor, and therapist whose career has centered on one question: What do young people need from the adults around them in order to thrive? Each episode translates research, developmental science, and real-world experience into useful, accessible strategies for parents, educators, counselors, and caregivers. Topics include emotional regulation, executive functioning, anxiety, ADHD, autism and neurodiversity, friendships, bullying, motivation, school success, family communication, screen use, identity, resilience, adolescent development, and the everyday challenges of life in the middle. MSMP approaches behavior differently.
