Was looking for a show that covers Alien Earth and came across AE Season 1 Episode 1. Great job! Normally not a fan of episodes over an hour BUT you had me at the nerd-out analysis. Can’t wait to keep going with episode 2.
I really enjoy the range of shows covered by this group and appreciate the method by which they cover shows with guest hosts at times. It brings a variety of points of view to the analysis.
I have recently stumbled upon the Lorehounds when I was looking for a deeper dive into Dune Prophecy. I have been a huge fan of Dune since the 1984 Dune (David Lynch RIP). Not only do they cover Dune, Wheel Of Time, Rings of Power and so many others. I have so much content to listen to. The time and effort put into these shows is incredible, these people know the material inside and out and will give you so many different perspectives. I like how intelligent the conversation is but also keeping it fun with loads of humour.
Love the detail and knowledge they present, especially concerning the Tolkien and Star Trek episodes.
I like the show when it’s just the core 3, but it’s extremely frustrating to listen to Marilyn. This person loves the sound of her own voice. She continually interrupts John in the middle of a sentence with inane interjections, jumps in at the end of a sentence before he’s completed the point, talks over him, etc., and she’s Loud. When John notes an irrefutable plot point, for some reason she responds with something like, Perhaps, perhaps, who can say, we shall see…Are you kidding me? And always laughing at her own unfunny points. I wish I could mute her. I only listen in very short spurts when I’ve exhausted every other podcast on Foundation, but I rarely finish an episode with her as a co-host. I’ve unsubscribed because of her.
