What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Bonnie leaves no stone unturned as she narrates the becoming as well as the fallout of these two sister cults. Be ready to hear how cult leaders are made, how families are broken, and how victims rebuild their lives. Many thanks to Bonnie for the hundreds of hours of research that no doubt went into her labor of research.

Becky Dirksen · Jan 2026

I’ve been living on the cape for almost 20 years and I’ve never heard anything about this cult until I listened to the podcast. It’s unbelievable the abuses these women have gone through and you all are so strong coming out of something like this. I can’t even imagine…and right under our noses. You all deserve the most happiness the world can provide you 🩷 Thank you so much for sharing your stories. It couldn’t have been easy to talk about.

mmcneil03 · Oct 2026

I’ve always been fascinated by religious cults and learning about the people who fall victim to them. This is a really interesting series and I hope they make it into a movie. Finding out about how they treated the members was fascinating and so troubling. Episode 31 is especially telling.
