If you're looking for someone who actually knows how presidential and national politics works to explain what's going on in 30 minutes or less, this is the show for you. Joe Trippi is a longtime Democratic campaign manager who ran the progressive Howard Dean presidential campaign in 2004 and the historic Doug Jones Senate campaign to defeat Roy Moore in 2017. He's seen it all and isn't bogged down by the viral tweets or hot takes du jour. He's looking past the headlines to answer the questions that matter: How do Democrats win key races moving forward? How do we convince voters to make Republicans pay for January 6th and its aftermath? What are we headed for in November? Don't just listen to the talking heads. Learn from an expert. This is a great show. Joe and Alex have a nice dynamic, sort of like an old chef in the kitchen explaining things and the younger maître d’ keeping the dinner service going smoothly, only it’s not a restaurant but conversations about politics. They’ll keep doing the crazy. We need to keep doing the work. I know stats say that most people only listen for like 20 minutes or something, but I would subscribe for a few bucks a month for the hourlong conversation of some of these topics.
Joe Trippi’s accumulated wisdom from decades of political experience has given him the ability to offer smart, workable strategies and insights we desperately need. His deep commitment to preserving our democracy comes through in everything he says and does. I wish I could put him on America’s speakerphone.
Joe knows his stuff. His experience and wisdom along with his calm, cool demeanor make for an enjoyable pod. He’s honest and straightforward, and he doesn’t sugarcoat our current state of affairs- the rising MAGA movement - but his frankness and delivery help to calm the stress of it all. Another Joe to be a fan of.
Has anyone else noticed Joe sounds almost exactly like Bob Odenkirk? Anyway, great show, I love the political insights and it’s very informative. Gives me some hope.
