Not originally from Illinois, but when I moved here I had no idea what was happening in Illinois politics. Listening to this show for a few years helped me understand what was happening and provide some historical context on everything.

I apperciate that this is a straight forward news review. Any drama provided is by the stories themselves and not how they are presented. Thank you for the review of the stories important to IL politics and government.

Due to the political climate and news deserts, I think gen z (me) doesn’t learn much about state and local politics. This podcast has helped me be more in tune to politics that affect me just as much as the national politics we tend to focus on so much. I love hearing Hannah’s and Charlie’s takes each week.
