I’ve listened to numerous Beatles podcasts, and this one is absolutely toppermost of the poppermost! The writing and editing are superb. Well done, I say!
Removing the bridge was a terrible decision. Musically it’s beautiful and makes the song richer, and lyrically it complicates the song’s ideas in a way that is typical of Lennon, who, by the way, would have abhorred Beatles myth-making as a motivation in the studio.
