I love the concept of this podcast.. Short, sweet, and packed with great info to make you reflect internally, look at your business in different ways, and ask yourself and other thought provoking questions! Brian has a great way of delivering a strong message in such an efficient way.. If you haven’t listened to this podcast yet, you’re missing out!

Real Estate Rome · Aug 2023

While he makes good points about Kinsugi being about the beauty from imperfections and the connection to the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, he misses the point when he frames it in an individualistic mindset. Yes, we should tell our story and help others going through the same and embrace our flaws. But he misses the fact that it’s through love and care that the pieces are put back together. Love is the gold lacquer between the cracks, love is what the artist does to the broken piece as he mends it, and love is seeing the piece as beautiful despite its past. Building resilience only goes so far when the piece just gets dropped again to smash onto the floor. It’s through love and care that the beauty of the piece is finally seen. And it’s love that’s cultivated by one’s relationships and community. As much as it’s important to take care of ourselves, it’s quite difficult for a broken piece of pottery to put itself back together without the help of an artist.
