What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

I usually listen live because I enjoy this show so much. Each of the regulars have a interesting area of expertise that makes it a informative show. The only downside is I’m always buying stuff they recommend at the end of the show 😏

MacBreak Weekly is a lively and insightful podcast that dives deep into Apple news, products, and the tech industry, featuring expert analysis from veteran journalists and tech enthusiasts. The hosts bring a great mix of humor, knowledge, and debate, making even the most niche Apple topics engaging for both casual fans and hardcore users. While it can sometimes run long, the in-depth discussions and industry insights make it a must-listen for Apple devotees.

DrewOnBass · Mar 2025

I’ve been a diehard fan—and proud Apple fanboy—of MacBreak Weekly for well over 10 years. While all the hosts are Apple enthusiasts, they do a solid job of covering the negatives too. With four participants from different backgrounds, you get a variety of perspectives, which keeps things engaging. I appreciate each member for what they bring to the table. That said, I’ve seen other reviews criticizing Andy for going on too long. As much as I love the guy, I have to agree—when he wants to emphasize a point, he doesn’t just underscore it; he hammers it home with as many words as possible. I hesitated to mention this because I truly value his input, but I couldn’t write an honest review without acknowledging it.

DataNutter · Mar 2025

I’ve been listening for many years and I still consistently enjoy the show and the banter between the host. I miss Rene Ritchie but Jason Snell has been a very worthy addition in his place. Really look forward to Alex’s picks and information as it’s always technical and informative. They usually have great guests on the show including some previous host like Rene. This podcast has become part of my life. The weeks that they take their well deserved break always makes my commute pretty dull. I hope the show continues on for many years.

Hamster J · Dec 2022

Been a fan of this show since the early days. But now every story somehow leads to talking politics and that’s where I’ve had to stop listening. If you can’t cover a story without letting your west coast liberal politics stomp all over the topic you are going to loose listeners in droves. This was just an annoyance in the last few months but now it’s like I’m listening to an MSNBC news analysis show. Now you are asking for listeners to sign up for a paid subscription service version of your shows while running off at least half of your potential subscribers. Learn to stick to discussing core technology news. That’s what we show up for. Not your political views on current events which are always one sided. Get back to your roots and show your value!
