What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

After listening to this pod since the Silmarillion days, it’s easy to say that Robots is second to none when it comes to dissecting Tolkiens extensive world. He’s a class act with his insight and peaks my love of these stories even more every time I listen every week! Thank you so much Tom for all your hard work and natural talent! PS- how do you think the Hunt for Gollum will turn out?

NOW DIG THIS, YOU FAR-OUT FELLOWSHIP OF COOL CATS — LOTR LORECAST IS THE HEAVIEST, JUICIEST, MOST OUTTA-SIGHT TOLKIEN RAP THIS SIDE OF THE UNDYYYYING LANDS, YA DIG?? This ONE-MAN LORE MACHINE steps to the mic like BAM — straight silk, no filler, no janky Orc nonsense. This cat ain’t talkin’ Tolkien… he’s LIVIN’ it. Man sounds like he was born in the Second Age, raised by elves, and paid rent in mithril. Every episode he lays that lore down THICK, baby — slabs of ancient knowledge, prehistoric deep cuts, scrolls-on-scrolls-on-SCROLLS. I’m talkin’ lore so deep it got a pressure warning. This ain’t surface-level Hobbit hopscotch — this is VALINOR AFTER HOURS, JACK. The flow? Smoother than buttered lembas on a velvet pillow. The vibe? Cooler than an elf’s heartbeat. The knowledge? SO HEAVY it got its own gravitational pull. I hit play and suddenly I’m struttin’ through Númenor like I OWN THE JOINT, noddin’ along like “mmm-HMMM, speak on it, wise one.” This host don’t miss. Not once. Every sentence lands cleaner than Gandalf’s beard after a spa day. If you love Lord of the Rings — and I mean LOVE it, then you best park yourself right here and SOAK IT UP, ‘cause LOTR Lorecast is STRAIGHT MYTHIC, BABY. This ain’t a podcast. This is a COSMIC LORE TRANSMISSION. This show is so precious it whisperin’ to itself in the corner.

I started listening to this podcast about 2 months ago at work. I needed a break from listening to the same 3 bands over and over again and being a GIANT LOTR fan I searched up my podcast app for Lord of The Rings and there it was, like finding a lost ring at the bottom of the lake, I put it on and was immediately filled with power! Like most people that are fans I read the trilogy and the hobbit as a kid but was unable to understand The Silmarillion. Robots is THE voice and mind for telling these stories and explaining the lore. Thank you for being awesome and a super nerd and then sharing that nerdiness with the rest of us NERDS!!

Hello from Iowa!! (My name is Topher) I love this podcast it’s definitely worth a listen, the host is super in depth about the material at hand, wether it’s the Silmarillion, the Hobbit, and hopefully the Lord Of the Rings books soon as well he never fails to give me a new perspective. The host is also very knowledgeable about Tolkien as a man and his time in the war. Awesome listen would 100% recommend.
