I have listened to every single episode of Law and Chaos and have been a paid subscriber for a while now, and I can tell you without hesitation this show is worth every minute and every penny.
As a complete layperson, I came in expecting legal coverage to be dense and inaccessible. What I found were two brilliant legal journalists who have a rare gift for making complex constitutional law and federal procedure not just understandable but genuinely fun. Liz and Andrew cite the law precisely when it matters, then land a perfectly timed joke before you even realize you just learned something.
Their chemistry is effortless. Liz brings the journalist’s instinct for narrative, Andrew brings the practitioner’s eye for procedural detail most coverage skips entirely, and together they are just an absolute joy to listen to. The subscriber bonus segments are the cherry on top.
If you want to actually understand what is happening in American courtrooms, not just the headlines but the real why behind them, this is your show. I walk away from every episode smarter, better informed, and usually laughing out loud.

It is difficult to adequately praise Law and Chaos’s hosts enough for their informative, snarky, nerdy, and ethically sound approach to legal reporting. Liz Dye had won me over through her work on the YouTube Legal Eagle channel, and finding her partnership podcast with Andrew Torrez has been a double win that brightens my day. Their spot on explanation of the U.S. legal process combined with comical asides and encouragement for everyone who still believes in democracy is a privilege to hear twice a week. Humorously educating people on otherwise dry matters is a gift- this podcast makes an often dark world a bit brighter- this is a podcast worth your time.

Love Liz and Andrew, and how Liz reigns in Andrew’s geekery and Andrew steadies the rails on Liz’ justifiable rage at the world’s current incompetence - and also will rattle them too when appropriate!
