Nina is breathing new life into Keep It! The magic of this show has always been the hosts and their chemistry. I tapped out for a while after Ira departed- not because I don’t love Louis, but their rapport was what kept me listening! I care much less about celebrities going on their press tour than I do about the hosts opinions and fun banter. PLEASE try to do more of the just Louis - Nina episodes in the future, they’re a delight!!

I do love this podcast but it’s so inconsistently put out. It seems like the hosts are constantly taking sabbaticals on other projects? Like every week either one of them is gone or else the podcast just doesn’t come out that week at all. Good listening just wish it was more consistent.

I could do without the gratuitous Taylor bashing, but, on the whole, I really enjoy this podcast. Unlike other pods, I actually like that it’s really long. I’ll put it on and clean my house or go about my business and it keeps me happy. Also, I know this is an exceedingly particular thing, but I really, really appreciate how the hosts DON’T talk over each other. They give each other space to speak and it’s so refreshing and easy to listen to.

I’ve listened to every episode of Keep It since launch and I sure am missing Ira, Kara, and Aida. I enjoyed Nina’s guest appearances during Louis’ year of solo hosting. However, a shift in topics towards lower-brow culture is shocking—I did not expect extended discussion on upcoming Marvel/LOTR movies last week and the entire first 15 minutes of today’s episode on a Netflix crime documentary … how utterly unremarkable and pedestrian. Louis’ delightful compulsion for pop culture esoterica is wasted in the latest slate of topics. Keep It has always blended the sacred and profane of culture for fast-paced and entertaining discussion. Nevertheless, the less robust joke and trivia density in recent episodes leaves me wondering why I’m still listening. I enjoy Keep It’s celebrity/artist interview format and, despite feeling for Ira’s expressed challenges with the form per chatter on his new show, I long for a return to Louis’ banter with frequent, familiar guests like Rheeqrheeq and Guy.

The new host has really changed the heart of the show. Now there are entire segments based on the most empty pieces of pop culture such that it feels like Threads: The Podcast. I hope Louis can go back to solo hosting or a rotating group of guest hosts.
