  How do school food allergy policies affect the mental health of kiddos with food allergy?

  Schools develop food allergy-related policies to try to keep kids safe, but how many of these policies are evidence-based? And how do policies impact the emotional well-being of kiddos with food allergy?Join me as I talk with my colleague Ashley Lahoud of Kent State University&apos;s . There, Ashley and her fellow researchers are studying just how school policies are affecting the mental health of children who have food allergy.   Common sense approaches to food allergy management

  Food allergy management certainly can be challenging, but we continue to have more and more evidence to guide us in making best possible decisions, especially regarding management in schools. I&apos;m delighted to have on this episode. He&apos;s the Director of the Food Challenge and Research Unit at Children&apos;s Hospital Colorado. Dr. Greenhawt has authored over 200 journal articles, most of which pertain to food allergy. I&apos;ve previously discussed Dr. Greenhawt&apos;s article &quot;Managing Food Allergy in Schools During the COVID-19 Pandemic&quot; on when I talked with school nurses about food allergy management during COVID-19.
