Dodger Blue Dream

by iHeartPodcasts

Named a "Best New Podcast" in 2024 by Audible and Vulture. "This is no simple sports-recap podcast. Instead, each episode plays a bit like a dispatch from a foreign land — in this case Dodgers fandom — in which a local correspondent (that would be Parks) walks you through present concerns." (Vulture) Noted for its storytelling, sound design, and original music. A love letter to baseball and radio by a born-and-raised Angeleno. #174 NEW Baseball US

What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Sure, I’m a little biased being a Dodgers fan but my son and I have been listening religiously since the show began 3 (baseball) seasons ago and have never found a more enjoyable podcast about baseball. It’s the perfect companion to the season and gives us a whole new way to appreciate the game, the dodgers and our time together in the car. From LA culture, the food scene, and of course our boys in blue, Richard manages to touch on so much that makes this city and game so great. We not only look forward to new episodes, but whenever we are down (and the team is in a slump) we go back to listen to some of the most exciting and drama-filled episodes from the last 2 seasons during their World Series runs. The only thing that would make DBD better is more episodes! Hope this podcast lives on long past the current lineup/dynasty and keeps us connected and learning about what makes this team and city to special.

DavidfromDetroit · Sep 2026

As a lifelong Dodger fan I am so pleased to have found this heartwarming, insightful and informative piece of art. It’s not your typical fan based podcast but a well crafted, well thought out and executed story of a storybook baseball season. At times comedic, at times emotional and always enthralling. From the original music to Richard Park’s halting, monotone voice to his heartfelt delivery of the ups and downs of the 2024 Dodger season, it is thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. I didn’t find this podcast until after the season had concluded. At first, I felt cheated that I had missed out on the show as the season progressed. Now, I am very grateful to have the opportunity to experience this “Documentary made in real time “ as a cohesive, finished product. What a treat! Richard and crew…Thank You so much for sharing this beautiful piece with us. Truly grateful and inspired to always do great work.

Blake Woken · Feb 2025

The Dodgers 2024 season was a roller coaster. So many highs but also a lot of lows. Richard Parks III puts into words exactly how all us Dodger fans felt through the ups, downs & ultimately winning the World Series. This is a must listen for all Dodger fans.

SoCalLibrarian · Jan 2025

Despite knowing next to nothing about baseball, I'm officially obsessed... Come for the storytelling. Stay for the DAWGS, the turtlenecks, and the tears. I think I'm a Dodgers fan now?
