What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Discovering the Catching Up to FI podcast at the very beginning of my journey to financial independence, at 38, has been a total game changer. I expected it would be a great resource to introduce me to terminologies and concepts of the personal finance world but was pleasantly surprised by the compassion, support and non-judgement of the hosts and the community that they have created. I have listened to every single one of their episodes all the while taking lots of notes and forwarding along countless episodes to family and friends. If you’re like me and just found out what FI means, this podcast is a great place to start and guide you through your journey. I’ll forever be grateful to Bill, Jackie, Becky and all the incredible guest speakers.

Love this incredible show and the hosts. Catching Up to FI is such an essential guide for anyone on the financial independence journey. Bill and Jackie speak to not only the math, but the emotional and psychological side of this journey. For my wife and I, this show has truly been life-changing. The content and guests have shaped how we think about money and why we do what we do. It’s helped us find the drive when we needed it and a helpful path for stepping away once we hit CoastFI. A big thank you to Bill and Jackie for all that you do. Keep it up!

Matthew T.2 · Feb 2025

Bill and Jackie really have something wonderful here. Catching up to FI is informative, entertaining and encouraging. I especially loved Jackie’s episode about HSA’s. Providing applicable resources and tools for people learning and working towards Financial Independence, the hosts do a great job teaching and guiding through story telling. They have a great variety of guests on the show, so I’m always learning about the FIRE paths from fresh perspectives as well! Highly recommend!

I have listened to a dozen financial podcasts over the past nine years, religiously. They’re all great in their own way, I have learned so much through all of them combined. Would differentiate this podcast from all the others is the culmination of learning of every aspect of financial and personal health and wealth. I appreciate their willingness to go more in depth, or into the weeds, as they say. There are so many podcasts for beginners people just coming into fly and learning. There are so few podcasts that are willing to talk about the advanced practices. This podcast does and that has been a game changer for me! Great show, late in the game or not! Most comprehensive coverage of all topics due to focusing on catching up. When I get to FI, I will donate boatloads, it is making a huge difference!
