Whenever I think I’m not giving my children the enough of what they need and I’m falling short, your message about connection over curriculum sets me straight. I hear Heaven knocking on my heart, telling me to keep trying because He and I, we’ve got this! I’m so grateful that you are here too, reminding me about what’s truly important. I adopted my little brother a few years ago, and he’s now a teen. After navigating disappointments and heartbreaking situations in public school, my husband and I made the decision to start homeschooling him two semesters ago. It seems like most parents start homeschool before children reach their teen years, so there’s been moments of feeling lonely or lost in the homeschool world. What once felt overwhelming has blossomed into the most beautiful gift; my brother is thriving academically, socially, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally.
