Adore this podcast! Love the approach to women in history that we should have heard of and haven’t. And the interesting takes on women I have studied…I always learn something new. And men should listen to get a well rounded view of women…they can only benefit from learning about the 50% of women around them!

I really like the focus on storytelling, and the way she lets any political messages speak for themselves (for the most part). A lot of history podcasts are so focused on message and agenda, that you have to wonder a bit at how factual they are, even when you agree with the message. Anyway, I like how Isabelle has something to say about gender, feminism, and racial politics, but keeps the focus on telling interesting stories. It makes for fuller, more nuanced narrative

I honestly can’t remember how I learned of this podcast (despite the fact that it was only two days ago) but I’ve already listened to several episodes and have learned so much! Everyone….not just women…should be listening. We have all been fed incomplete (and sometimes downright wrong) history and I SO thankful to the host for doing this work and helping to bring women’s contributions to the forefront!
