I’m late to the game and currently playing catch up, but enjoying every single episode. This podcast is well researched and presented in “bite size” segments that make it easy to listen to. Currently on a road trip from Texas back home to NJ and now my wife, who is not into history at all, is listening attentively with me. Keep up the great work!

Very solid and to the point summary of the Revolutionary era. Michael relates facts and events in concise form and largely chronological order. The episodes are of a length that makes for easy listens (roughly the length of an average commute). He covers major events as well as background trends and developments. Very well done!

The podcast took 100 episodes to make it to the Declaration of Independence. I didn’t mind so much because he was being thorough. I was excited when it came time to cover the Battle of Brooklyn to hear his coverage of the Maryland 400. The engagement was epic. He literally didn’t even mention them, just hinting at the engagement. I was really deflated and hope one day he covers them better. The City of Brooklyn to this day honors them annually.
But I have continued to listen and he has really grown as a podcaster, and has filled out his show with some nice extras. He continues to be very thorough and detailed while keeping the episodes interesting and a manageable length. I like that he also publishes the transcript at the same time the episode is released. I find it helpful to follow along and keep my focus. He includes a few images as well.
In fact, the podcast has become so good that I recently became a Patreon. He has started doing this full-time, and in my small way I wanted to support that. The flag magnets are a nice Thank You Gift, with the first one I received being the same flag that is on my favorite hat.
EDIT: I wanted to raise my rating to reflect his growth, and to remove some criticism that has been addressed. Also, I wanted to counter the review recently of a self-righteous blowhard who criticized one paragraph of his second episode and wrote a ridiculous 1* review. Best Wishes, Mike!

Very well narrated and does his very best to give us the most honest podcast on the founding of this country, even though the odds against us at that time were astronomical and there is no way we should have won. He does an excellent job of describing how things were back in those times, and goes on to explain in detail how certain things and verbage were perceived back then when it needs to be addressed! Very well done sir!
