I enjoy learning from both hosts on a variety of subjects. But, please attend to audio hygiene issues! Ep 16 (big preso) had microphone impacts that sounded like bombs going off while I listened! Wasn’t expecting that.... Ep 17 (Amazon) has mobile phone interference. Kindly switch to airplane mode before recording... thanks

I think I could appreciate the insights and commentary Benedict provides, but it’s annoying listening to someone's voie for 30-45 minutes with an ever-present echo. Please try improving the audio quality (Toni sounds great).

Ben Evans has some good takes on tech. Pithy one-liners like “Amazon is a bundle” and “AI is software that doesn’t work yet”. Toni is a pretty poor podcaster host but a good foil for Ben. Generally worth a listen and as an aside it’s amusing to see another one of those guys who can’t seem to stand Elon Musk.

This isn’t a review of Toni Cowan Brown because, well, I’ve scarcely heard her speak on this pod. She is reduced to a supporting role of hmms and hahs while Ben Evans drones on and on, churning out the same repetitive catchphrases. Some of them might seem like insights at first, but they dissolve under any kind of examination, and in the meantime, oh goodness, did he just say that five more times? Yep. Did he just talk over the top of her when she tried to steer him away from the same old hobbyhorse? Yep, again.
I kept listening for a while in case her murmurs were a sort of coded message — “Help I am being held captive in a podcast studio by a relentless mansplainer” — but if that’s the case, I couldn’t decrypt them. I’m sorry Toni, hope you’re okay.
