What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This is one of the few long-form podcasts that still remains from when I first started listening to podcasts. Most every podcast I used to love has either ended or switched formats to appeal to a different kind of audience. This show remains outstanding.

TheUltimateparadox · Jul 2026

David does a fantastic job of illuminating many aspects of the way the human brain works and doesn’t work. Some listeners are critical of his left H political comments, but compared to other academics I have listened to and read, he keeps politics out of it except when the topic is closely tied to politics or United States culture. I personally enjoyed and benefitted greatly from the episodes which discuss logical fallacies. David makes learning fun

NutellaOnMelbaToast · Oct 2025

This honestly is one of my favorite podcasts! I’m a psych nerd too but I wish more people would listen and learn about these concepts. The topics are pertinent and really helps me make sense of the people around me.

Crazykrizzy · Sep 2025

I have to let you know that the closing music is very nice. The change is very uplifting to me and brings a smile to my face every time it plays. Your podcast by the way is the best of the many I listen to.

06cooper · Nov 2024

The show is interesting when the host sticks to his knowledge base. There is a strong undercurrent of contempt, bordering on hatred, of everything and anything conservative thinly veiled by intellectual jargon and moral grandstanding.
