What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

This podcast got me through many long walks in 2024. Mike has a great approach and energy in all of his interviews, he asks Everyman questions with sophistication. I was rarely uninterested in any of his guests, which must be really hard to curate for a show that posts so frequently. The knowledge shared makes you feel empowered and curious. Thanks SySK!

joyfulfitnessct · Dec 2024

This has been my favorite podcast for years. Mike is a fantastic host, the topics and talks are extremely interesting and captivating. Excellent podcast, look forward to it every week!

Linandrea · Dec 2024

I’ve learned so many things on here! Thank you for pursuing such topics. I’ve also gotten ideas of books I can get from the library for further reading. I’m a disabled 65 year old and love the stimulation on so many levels!

Michigan apple · Sep 2024

I love walking with your often updated podcasts. The guests provide information from their research or books that isn’t just “liberal” or mainstream news popular opinion.

fmf55 · Sep 2024

Just tried listening for the first time and couldn’t make it past the half-way point. The way the host rudely talked over/at and dismissed the guest on the Good Friends episode that came out 2 days ago was off-putting and there were multiple sound editing errors. Seems like you have a lot of cool topics, but I won’t be listening again.

GetOutside23 · Jun 2024

I was excited to try a new podcast that hopefully explored intelligent topics and presented information scientifically, evidence based and unbiased. That is not what I got. The host is unbearably ignorant. As a interviewer it is imperative that you at least do a little bit of background research so you can talk intelligently but he continues to stifle the conversation with uneducated hot takes, and embarrassingly surface level questions. The questions he asks have no critical thinking involved AT ALL. A recent episode when discussing Americans being over worked, he failed to see the purpose of the guest’s argument and close-mindedly pushed back by continuously bringing up the ridiculous example of “what if people want to work” or what some LOVES their work?” How does that at all remotely further the conversation of forced productivity or over worked people? Ridiculous. Will not be listening to this show ever again. For intelligent content GO ELSEWHERE!
