Womanica - Podcast Rankings and reviews

As a history teacher of middle schoolers, I am grateful for this resource! The students of all backgrounds are using this to get glimpses of their fore-mothers. Many are choosing to dig deeper into the subjects as part of their research projects. Thank you!!

I recently found this podcast and am very impressed. The show provides short (roughly five minutes) episodes on a variety of women, including historical, legendary, and mythological. Although brief, episodes can provide illuminating anecdotes, such as the miracle performed by Catherine of Siena after her death involving rose petals. Highly recommended. Suggestions for future episodes: cult founder Joanna Southcott and abolitionist and pioneer Mary Ann Day Brown.

Glad I found this; love the quick-listen format (lots packed into those few minutes). Also love the monthly theme organization.

I love this podcast because it’s just the perfect length and really helps my understanding of how much women have truly contributed. It’s podcast perfection.

I've only listened to one episode so far (the one on Evelyn Irons), but that episode was disappointing. The narrative was scattered, jumping around too much, and the sound effects were distracting and annoying. On top of it all, the ads seemed to run longer than the actual show. I probably won't listen again.
