Long-time listener of this podcast — I go in spurts depending on whether I have a trip coming up. Love the non-trip report episodes! (I also like the TR eps but sometimes it’s hard to find 2-3 hours to listen!) Everything I know about Disney parks I owe to Shannon and WDW Prep.
What a great podcast! The host is so kind and thoughtful and asks great questions. And I love learning from other people’s experiences. The last episode about planning a trip for 18 was awesome 🙌🏼
I found this podcast when planning my family’s first Walt Disney World vacation, and continue to listen immediately to new podcasts long after the trip. The advice and insights from this podcast and from the website were instrumental in allowing me to expertly plan a special Disney vacation. The podcast also gave me the knowledge needed to pivot frequently on that trip to best accommodate my family’s needs and the realities of the day. Shannon is a warm and inquisitive host, and the pre-eminent expert on all things Disney vacation. It is also well worth becoming a Patreon, the team has built a wonderful community there with fun bonus content. Can’t wait to head back to the Disney Parks armed with my WDW Prep knowledge!
I’ve been of a fan of Shannon for many years now, having found her website ahead of my first WDW trip as an adult. She and her team are a wealth of Disney knowledge. They are the best source for crowd calendars, DDP credits, resort selections, and lightning lane priorities. Giving travelers a platform on this podcast to share their trip reports adds another planning resource to a vacation that has become increasingly more important to plan ahead for. I’m grateful to her for turning her passion into a free resource we all can benefit from.
I am obsessed with this podcast but the smiles casino ad is so loud that I jump in panic every time it plays! Hope we can get that fixed!
I like the back and forth. But what people are really interested in hearing is the overall costs. Not the actual niceness. Any Disney fan can assume how nice it is. But it actually would have been a lot nicer if there was actual numbers discussed. People know this is a timeshare. People also know how timeshares are a huge hassle and a money pit. So the questions were not well thought out. The questions that were asked were just boring with no substance. Again, numbers, how much did you pay, what does it cost you monthly per point. What are the annual membership costs, etc. Given that numbers do fluctuate of course.
