The hosts Ryan and Byron refer to themselves and others like them who love rides to a fault as ‘sickos’ and I resemble that for sure. I read somewhere recently that what makes a good podcast isn’t necessarily the content but how it makes you feel after listening to it and that is what these guys are so great at. I feel good listening to this show. They are artists and I look forward to their new show every week and watch all of their 3rd Wall material as well. It’s the only podcast that I’ve ever been compelled to pay for. Sorry I missed your first ever live show guys I had to jumble my summer schedule to chase ride closures hopefully I’ll get to SoCal for your next one.

First of all, I love this podcast simply because it appeals to me and my weird niche interests. So already 10/10 for me. Then you guys are so funny and clever and it’s just such a fun listen! My love for the show multiplied by a million when we were stranded in Florida after our flights were canceled and we decided to make the 16 hour drive back home. It was the only thing I could play in the car that kept my husband awake and my kid (who was already having Disney withdrawals) entertained. “How many hours left?” Became “how many more shows can we listen to?” Great job boys! The tourists would love to (listen to the podcast) see it!

I came across this podcast about a year ago and instantly felt connected. The way Byron and Ryan talk about theme parks and rides is exactly how my family and I (particularly my sister and I) talk about parks. I have been able to connect to my students over this podcast, have been inspired in my drawings, and have reconnected with so many past memories from the parks, particularly with Disneyland, which leave a smile on my face. This space Byron and Ryan have created is a safe space for people who see beyond the surface at theme parks and appreciate the little things from the time of day that is best at one of the parks to how a soundtrack or ride line instantly gives us chills and transports us to that world. It was also incredible to go see them live in Anaheim and to connect with others who love theme parks as well. Thank you Byron and Ryan for all you do and for inspiring us with your hard work and dedication to shouting out love for all things theme parks!

The premise of this show is the deep dives into specific attractions and the world class ranking system. I particularly like the episodes that venture out of the Disney/Universal rides whose histories are well-known and widely covered. (The SpongeBob ride in Vegas was a good one, more like that please!) Lately, it’s been more trip reports, news, and lists. Too many theme park podcasts run out of ideas and just start doing trip reports, news, and lists. Then they are all the same. (I get it, if Disney is paying for you to come down and tour a construction site, you gotta hype it up. But stop with the lists already.) You guys have barely scratched the surface of attraction deep dives, don’t lose focus already!
