What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Just passed my PPL checkride yesterday. The VSL podcast was by far the most helpful audio I listened to for checkride prep. And the ACE guide is awesome. Great job Seth! I’ll be continuing listening and studying for IFR training and beyond.

Scottsmuin · Jul 2026

Seth delivers information in a quiet, honest way with nothing more than knowledge based on his experience as a pilot and Designated Pilot Examiner. His VSL ACE is a must have for every CFI.

MLPMCFI · Apr 2026

Seth Lake is a gift to the aviation community. He is totally committed to educating pilots, from student to ATP. While he does an amazing job explaining the nuance of the ACSes for each of the certificates and several ratings, that and his ACE Guide gets into more detail than any other resource I've found. And, he is alone in helping us avoid the snares that the FAA's army of lawyers have set, which appear intent on obfuscating the regulations, thus making them impossible to follow. On the last episode, Seth had a lawyer who, though he didn't say it in his own words, clearly point out how impossible it is for a normal person trying to comply.

Rocket305 · Nov 2025

Seth is an invaluable resource for the aviation community. Every episode is an opportunity to learn about something new.
