Long time listener, I found the podcast 4 or 5 years ago when I was brand new to aviation and the range of content has helped me pass the days while I manage a repair station and dream of the next steps. Your interview with Roger Reeves, Seth Lake and all the diamond dogs help show there is much more to aviation and always something to learn. While other may say that Max’s musing aren’t what they came here for I appreciate that both of you continue to enjoy GA and that flying is more than what you do. Keep up the good work, hope to see you at NBAA sometime.

I finally decided to give a long overdue review. I have listened to you guys for the last three years. I have to blame you two for adding fuel to the fire. I have always said I just wanted to go to the airlines but hearing both side of flying I’m now interested in business as well. Your banter between the two of you reminds me of sitting around the fire station’s kitchen. I feel like you guys are my distant beer drinking buddies. I look forward to the next episode as soon as the slapping music play. Ted is always a treat to have on the show. He needs to drop in more often. This show is my “hype man” as I head to the airport and embark my journey sitting in a clapped out trainer and loving every minute. Beyond thrilled I actually have a job building hrs and getting closer to my dream of flying a jet. Keep up the amazing work. …GP

I am an avid listener of the 21.Five show and I always enjoy the salty humor, occasional political innuendo and general good aviation vibes. During a recent trip to one of SWA’s hot spots, my FO was showing me the secret routes from the terminal to the hotel. During our discussions of various hazards the we would endure during our 12-15 minute walk through the underground hallway including possible flooding, closed subway stations, falling ceiling tiles and various molds and mildew, we spotted a brave soul getting a jog in presumably to avoid the outside rain and thunder. I guess I should not have been surprised to realize that the jogger devoted to increasing his mitochondria despite the weather was Max. After seeing him, I assumed he was heading to the gym, and knowing that the dumbbells only went up to 50’s I quickly got changed and headed down, ready to stack some extra weights on top so Max could adequately train for his centenarian decathlon. Unfortunately he headed to the hotel restaurant and I was not honored to meet him in the gym, but look forward to my next chance meeting with the famous podcast host.
