What listeners say

A curated, balanced selection of Apple Podcasts reviews.

Exceedingly well done! The podcasts (1-6) of the various perspectives on this tragic mishap provided a thoughtful, as nearly complete as possible, and appropriately respectful analysis of the lead-in, sortie, and aftermath. Made me reflect on, and thankful for, the skill of the flight lead on my first Nellis AFB Red Flag sortie, Major “T-Seed” in the 48th FS, who ensured I did not get overwhelmed, followed the TRs to the letter, fixate on the unimportant and stayed focused on only the most important basics that day. Future USN, USMC and USAF squadron commanders and XOs would be wise to absorb this excellent discussion. Cheers, Shamu

A military aviation podcast that 1) has an expert host who can actually speak clearly and in a relaxed tone, 2) he tells interesting tales, and 3) he has interesting guests. Yes - you can pick all three! Personally, I love the tack we’ve been on, covering all aspects of modern military aviation, focusing especially on fighters, but I can see this podcast ‘growing’ ~ perhaps digging a bit more into aspects of the history of fighter aviation, much like the interviews already done so far with Willie Driscoll, Pete Pettigrew, and a couple of other very interesting guests Maybe having credible authors/historians as guests to discuss pilots, battles, and tactics of past wars, with emphasis on the more detailed aspects as we’ve been doing with the modern subjects. Keep it up - I binged, now I’m out of episodes!! (cry).

I personally skipped the military and went from high school into the work force. I wished I had a do over on that but I’m age 69 now so no can do. But This podcast really brings the excitement and joy of all of these military heroes. Pilots, Mechs, REOs, and all of the stories of military life. I feel like I lived a little bit of the military life after listening to each podcast.

Even without a great deal of aviation knowledge, one can enjoy Jello’s story telling and superb interviewing skills. I’ve been a fan for years, and my kids like to listen as well.
