This podcast covers a wide range of aviation stories, and the casual feel makes it feel like I’m sitting with them having a fun conversation. It could almost be advertised as “interactive” ;)
Great podcast for all things aviation; commercial, defense and related industries from WW2 airshows to the latest from Cirrus. Professionally produced and well organized, they added chapters last year so if it’s too long you can skip to the parts you like. Or just listen and you might learn something. This podcast is really just a part of, and the center of, a much bigger community that has developed around it.
Good information, but it is an hour longer than it should be. They talk too slow and I have to put it on 1.5X speed just to keep it at a normal pace. I also think they’re somewhat self-indulgent with their musings and ramblings. Without much respect to the listeners time constraints. My commute is between 45 minutes to an hour, and I want information quick, to the point, clear, concise. Sorry but going on and on and on and on about snakes on a plane it’s just a waste of my time. Otherwise; good information, high quality of guests and high caliber content for aviation professionals and serious enthusiasts.
With so many avaiation podcasts out there it is hard to pick one that will keep you generally informed on what is going on in the aviation world without a huge investemtn in time. I find that Airplane Geeks does this with their weekly, about-an-hour episodes, while providing some in depth learning on one topic.
All good things must come to an end…. I guess?? Really disappointed in all the political innuendo. Podcast has good aviation topics and data but some can’t seem to not let their polar political views shine through. Specifically Max West continue’d disparaging comments about Florida or even parroting that inflation will help the aviation industry because people will not be able to afford it. Most folks outside of California or the Northeast may not share his views. It our job as pilots and CFIs to be voracious advocates for all things Aviation, there is a full slate of impediments, and we don’t need to add more. Unfortunately it’s comments like this that ruin the time spent with what used to be one of my top 3 aviation podcasts. Wishing Rob a speedy recovery from surgery his humor makes the podcast light and enjoyable!!! Love the Aus desk!!! Finally I will say I do understand the work it takes to even green social content and produce a show and do thank those involved in the production.
For the most part I have loved this podcast but now it seems that every episode has become the COVID cast. We get all this COVID news everywhere else, I tune in here to get my aviation fix.
