Not only do you get great cookie recipes, you are treated to fun and informative conversations with people who are experts in their field. The wide range of guests, from Travis Akers to Kathy Griffin to Mary Trump begin to feel like friends as they openly share their insights and life experiences. It’s like you’re sitting in the warm and welcoming kitchen of your best friend, you really don’t want to leave and can’t wait to get back. And did I mention the cookies? (There’s also pie, and sometimes cocktails!) Give yourself the gift of 50 or so minutes a week with Marissa, you’ll be ever so glad you did!

Remember parties? Going to a friend’s house, hanging in the kitchen, presumably helping cook, talking about everything and solving the world’s woes (if only they would take our advice!). This podcast is just that- a soothing, funny balm when we can’t gather physically but still want to be at the party. (And the sound quality has improved since the first episode). Adding to my favorites!

This podcast is a joy to listen to. I’m not a baker, but I enjoy all of the conversations, whether they involve politics, psychology, or brownie-making tips. Marissa has a wide variety of people on the show, and is an excellent conversationalist. This show is both thought-provoking and a delightful balm for our times.

Each episode has a wide winning combination: interesting guest, interesting host, mouth-watering recipe, cooking tips, history, current events, pets (but not on the table) compelling discussion, and humor. It’s my companion for making weekend brunch but I could listen anytime.
